Auto Electrician
BBL are currently looking for a self-motivated auto electrician to join our team. The role will involve working on electrical wiring and computer-based equipment in our large & varied fleet.
About you…
To be successful you must hold:
- Cert III Automotive Electrical Technology
- Cert II Automotive (Mechanical-AC) with valid Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Working at Heights Certificate
- Current car licence
Bonus point if you have:
- MR or HR Licence or willing to obtain
- Forklift licence or willing to obtain
If you have the following skills, we're looking for you:
- Post trade experience in the heavy vehicle industry
- Knowledge of Allison transmissions, Caterpillar engines, Cummins engines, climate control and body control technology desirable. If not, a willingness and self-motivation to learn while on the job.
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- A positive attitude towards work and the team you work with
- Great communications skills
- A commitment to safety
About the role…
A normal day-in-the-life of a bus & Coach auto electrician involves diagnosing electrical faults in air-conditioning and other computer-based systems within the vehicles. Adjusting and repairing electrical items as well as installing/uninstalling ancillary electrical items such as iPads, GPS systems, two-way radios, AM/FM radios, TV/DVD players plus much more.
